Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a life changing hair loss treatment, commonly known as 'scalp tattooing'. During the treatment pigments are applied to the scalp to replicate the appearance of real hair follicles, giving you the look of a full head of shaven hair, or to add density to thinning hair.  

The treatment takes place over 3 sessions, each taking 1-4 hours gradually building up the density. This allows you to get used to your new hairline and allows us make any adjustments necessary at the following sessions for the perfect natural finish - tailored to you!

Pattern Baldness is extremely common in men and women, with some degree of visible hair loss being a common phenomenon for gents, but with SMP this doesn't have to be the case! Typically pattern baldness presents itself with hairloss at the hairline, the crown area or both. in most cases we would recommend that clients shave their hair down so to achieve the stubble look, this way we can perfectly match and blend your new Scalp Tattoo through to your existing hair/stubble. 

If your hair is thinning and you would like to keep the length longer without having to shave the hair down, we are also able to do this, by building up the density in-between existing hair. For clients who are turning grey/white who are looking to keep their hair longer, it is advisable to keep the hair colour a darker shade, so that we are able to blend the two in together.

SMP can be used to disguise scarring from both FUT and FUE hair transplants, as well as being a superb alternative to both. The non-invasive Scalp Tattooing method guarantees visible results from the first treatment, and leaves our clients with no downtime. Hair transplants are costly procedures, and are not guaranteed to be successful meaning patients may be left with scarring but no visible results. However, if the transplant is successful, men may continue to lose what remains of their hair, so over time require may require more than one or two additional operations to maintain the results. 

There are a variety of hairline styles that can be created, from a defined youthful hairline, to a natural receding style or widows peak effect. Don't panic if you are not sure what look you'd like to go for, we will work with you to find the perfect, undetectable style for you. You may also want to consider the finish of the hairline, whether that be a natural soft finish or sharp defined look.
